AO4 Project Support Officer

Randstad is excited to partner with a key State Government Department to find an exceptional AO4 Project Support Officer. We are proactively identifying candidates for this critical position located centrally in Buderim, Sunshine Coast. This role is for a proactive Project Support Officer to join an Engineering Technology team. You will provide high-level administrative and operational support to the Management team, ensuring infrastructure projects are delivered with precision and compliance. Acting as a central hub for communication, you will report to the Principal Engineer and work across four key areas to enhance project delivery and asset data quality.

• Act as the primary interface for monitoring and tracking team responses, ensuring priority items are addressed promptly.
• Assist in developing procurement documents for contractor roles and projects, ensuring timely processing and adherence to policy.
• Capture key operational information, update registers, and assist with reporting to help the team prioritise backlogs effectively.
• Perform data entry within asset systems (ROAR) to ensure high-quality information is assigned to infrastructure assets.

Skills to Bring to the Table

We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused candidate who can hit the ground running, ideally bringing:

• High-level competency in Microsoft 365, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• A basic understanding of procurement and finance; experience within an infrastructure or engineering environment is a plus.
• The ability to maintain effective relationships between internal and external stakeholders.
• A professional approach to work with a focus on transparency, accountability, and quality results.
• A mindset that embraces new ideas and makes considered, ethical decisions within a project context.
